About the exhibition
In 2024, artist Shachar Fishbain led an art project with refugee youths at Norway’s Nasjonalt ankomstsenter Råde. Participants from diverse backgrounds gathered around a shared table to create art, providing a joyful escape from the center’s daily life.
Humanitarian significance
The project used art as therapy, helping refugee youths facing migration challenges and trauma. Collaborative creation fostered belonging, self-expression, and strengthened social bonds.
Artistic value
The artworks blend various cultures, experiences, and emotions, showcasing the richness of collaboration. They highlight creativity’s role in navigating complex situations and inspire a wide audience.
These artworks are available for purchase, with proceeds supporting additional programs for refugee youths and children at the center.
Thanks to Nasjonalt ankomstsenter Råde, Tonje Gravningsmyhr and Østfold musikkråd, Widar Salbuvik and Tage Pettersen.
The exhibition is on display until 9 March in the F 15 workshop.
