Haloba’s presentation at MOMENTUM 12 begins her research and dialogue with the Swedish-Norwegian artist Hannah Ryggen (1894-1970). The project, titled «When we continue living in stars, are our shadows luminaries for us to see?», will draw parallels between the symbolism and techniques in Ryggen’s practice and the basket and tapestry works of the Wee Tonga people of Southern Zambia and Zimbwabwe. The work features different weaving methods, recorded conversations, and a video installation.
