Death has in all ages been an important subject for artists. Sorrow, melancholy, the fear of dying and the fear of death itself are empirical, existential experiences that all human beings at some point in their lives are confronted with. In the exhibition Exitus – Death, Grief and Melancholy, twelve different perspectives on the theme of death are elaborated, with death leading as a clearly visible connecting line through all the works.
A catalogue with pictures from the exhibition will be available a few weeks after the opening.
