Kine Lillestrøm and Heidi Marie Wien presents a three-dimensional , about 30 meters long , transparent painting , which continuously runs through the exhibition rooms of the gallery`s first floor.
As the title emphasizes, materiality is important for Wien and Lillestrøm. Visqueen is the name of the type of plastic they use as the canvas. The informal material provides an experience of a monumental abstract painting, with associations to landscape and kinship to glass painting. The monumental, site-specific painting is a type of painting one might associate with Renaissance palace, gothic churches and other public buildings.
