A pioneer in Norwegian modernism!
Galleri F 15 presents a major retrospective exhibition on Ragnhild Keyser (1888-1943), one of Norway’s most groundbreaking modernists.
The exhibition Ragnhild Keyser (1888-1943). Kristiania-Paris-New York-Oslo highlights her pioneering work in abstract art from the 1920s, and will emphasize her work with abstraction processes, when she was part of the avant-garde environment in Paris – together with artists such as Picasso, Léger and Delaunay. Keyser’s work is inspired by Cubism and Purism, among other things, making her a central figure in Norway and internationally.
With the growing interest in modernism – also among today’s artists – the exhibition presents some works by contemporary artists who have been inspired by Keyser’s art.
