A pioneer in Norwegian modernism!
Galleri F 15 presents a major retrospective exhibition on Ragnhild Keyser (1889-1943), one of Norway’s most groundbreaking modernists.
The exhibition highlights her pioneering work in abstract art from the 1920s, and will emphasize her work with abstraction processes, when she was part of the avant-garde environment in Paris – together with artists such as Picasso, Léger and Delaunay. Keyser’s work is inspired by Cubism and Purism, among other things, making her a central figure in Norway and internationally.
With the growing interest in modernism – also among today’s artists – the exhibition presents some works by contemporary artists who have been inspired by Keyser’s art.
