Welcome to exhibition opening of Ragnhild Keyser. Kristiania – Paris – New York – Oslo!

Galleri F 15 presents a major retrospective exhibition on Ragnhild Keyser (1888-1943), one of Norway’s pioneering modernists. The exhibition features more than one hundred works, primarily paintings, as well as drawings and sketchbooks. It also includes works by Dag Erik Elgin, Arne Malmedal, Anders Sletvold Moe, Eline Mugaas, David Salle, Marthe Elise Stramrud, and Charlotte Wankel.

The exhibition highlights Keyser’s pioneering contribution to abstract art, with particular emphasis on works from the 1920s, when she was part of the Parisian avant-garde alongside artists such as Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Amédée Ozenfant, Sonia Delaunay and Robert Delaunay. The exhibition is curated by Hilde Mørch.

The new composition, which Bendik Hovik Kjeldsberg will perform for the first time in connection with the opening of the Ragnhild Keyser exhibition at Galleri F 15, is inspired by three of Keyser’s paintings: Chemin de Fer I, Chemin de Fer II, and Rustning (Armour). Using graphic notation techniques, Hovik Kjeldsberg has translated the three paintings into music, bringing them together in a single new composition.

The work is produced by Una Mathiesen Gjerde for Amfitrite Produksjon AS, with support from the Norwegian Audio and Visual Fund (Fond for lyd og bilde).

Bendik Hovik Kjeldsberg is a drummer, composer, and producer based in Oslo. His compositions range from pure synthesizer works to conceptual pieces for skateboards and urban ambiences. He has composed music for theatre, short films, and dance productions. As an artist and DJ, he moves effortlessly between ambient music, driving techno, and melodic passages.

Under the name Bendik HK, he released his debut album Drakedreper in 2025, which was nominated for a Spellemann Award in the Electronic/Dance category the same year.
