Artist Talk: Kristin Tinsa Sæterdal

6. Apr, 13:00

We meet artist Kristin Tinsa Sæterdal in conversation with curator and artistic director Maria C. Havstam in the work “Space Debris”.

The tapestry Space Debris takes as its theme the enormous quantities of space junk orbiting the Earth and threatening satellites and space stations. Space junk consists of the remnants from old satellites, rockets and equipment, as well as flakes of paint and exhaust particulates.

The work is shown in the 45th Tendencies exhibition – Nordic Contemporary Crafts – In the Right Hands. The 46th edition of Tendencies focuses on craft’s materiality, the work of the hands, and making statements through textiles, and is curated by Maria C. Havstam and Anne Klontz.

The dialogue will take place in the exhibition and will take it’s starting point from the work, providing an insight into Sæterdal’s artistiv work and methodology.

The event is free to attend but requires registration.
