Sound Installation

Jan Christensen and Anders Fjøsne has over some years developed an audio/visual concept which focuses on interactivity and the public’s participation in generating sound and light. The title ”Onomatopoeia” is a word that imitates or suggests the source of the sound that it describes.
The installation consists of several platforms loaded with lamps, loud speakers, oscillators and sound generators like synthesizers, samplers and modulators. The sound and the light is produced by the people interacting with the installation. In addition to the sound and the light, the physical appearance of the installation is also of importance. The platforms that carries all the electronic equipment is formed like furniture or practical consoles creating a small landscape for new and surprising experiences.
