Norwegian artist Eirik Senje works with a diverse range of artistic expressions including writing, drawing, painting, sculpture and installation, but ultimately it is the idea that motivates his choice of medium. For Momentum10, Eirik Senje presents eight pastel drawings from the series titled Generative Exception in which he makes subtle references to art historical motifs in the landscapes and postures of the figures. Senje is interested in the sketching process through which the emotions of art quickly emerge.

The figures in the drawings invite us into their unfinished surroundings. The works can be read as a contemporary dream-scape where notions of the spiritual and mythological take form and Eirik Senje gives us the opportunity to consider that there is both a criticality and a chance for hope in situations that are as much about the individual as they are about ideas of the world which can be elaborated on collectively.
