Join us in a workshop and lunch with collective YTB Gallery on September 2nd!

YTB Gallery invites emerging visual artists, curators, art writers, critics, administrators, art students and anyone interested in the topic, to join our speculative workshop focused on creating the conditions for a dreamy arts pedagogy. Together we will enjoy lunch, discuss the possibilities for peer learning beyond the framework of educational institutions, and make a giant experimental cyanotype, which will imprint our thoughts, ideas, and plans in sunlight.

The workshop aims to meet new collaborators and deepen relationships with your peers by exploring the process of making cyanotypes. We are exploring new methodologies for art education and for growing sustainable art careers based on collectivity values. We invite you to join us to discuss how you’d like to learn, grow your career, and support one another.

Sign up online to secure your place in the workshop. Artists and arts workers of all educational backgrounds and experience levels are welcome.

About YTB
Younger Than Beyoncé (YTB) Gallery was founded in Tkaronto (Toronto), Canada, in 2014 as a project space exploring the unique needs and challenges of artists born after 1981. Our practice builds an art ecosystem that supports collaboration instead of competition between early-career artists. Instead of fast-paced cultural programming, we focus on helping collaborative practices and building supportive ecosystems in Tkaronto and internationally. More recently, we have been working with groups of emerging artists to explore the potential of collaborative partnerships as a basis for knowledge sharing and mutual aid. YTB is Geneviève Wallen, Marjan Verstappen, Marsya Maharani, and Michael Magnussen.
